Questions & Answers

Buying window tinting can be confusing. We’ve tried to provide relevant information throughout the website, but you may still have some questions. Maybe we can answer some of the most frequent that seem to come up. In the event you still have some unanswered queries, please don’t hesitate to call or email us anytime.

Q: How long does it take to have window tinting installed?

A: Installation times vary based on vehicle type, and product selection. Generally, if you have a coupe or sedan, figure about 2 hours for standard installation. If its an SUV or a Wagon, give it an additional hour. If you choose to add DermafilmUV to your windshield, add an additional hour. We try to be expedient, but we never rush.

Q: What types of payment do you accept?

A: All major credit cards, debit cards, personal and business checks w/proper ID, and cash

Q: What are the laws governing window tinting?

A: Popular question. Many in the industry don’t know the proper answer, but we certainly do. Window tinting laws vary state to state, so it’s important to know if you’ll be staying in Nevada, or moving to a different state. As far as Nevada goes, the law applies to the front driver and passenger windows. The limit is 35%, with a 7% tolerance. That means you can pass with a VLT (Visible Light Transmittance)  above 28% if metered. An important note to remember is you must include the light transmission of the untinted glass into that number. So, if you put a 28% film on, it would not pass a metered inspection. The reason for this is the glass its applied to may have a 7-9% darkness that would be added to the film. So as a rule of thumb… about a 38% film or higher would work.

Q: I have bad tint on my vehicle already, can it be taken off?

A: Yes, we can remove old film, normally without any issues. Depending on the age and condition of the film on the back window, the defroster element may be a concern. You’re welcome to come by anytime and we can consult with you on your options. We offer various removal promotions during most months, so often time we offer free or discounted removals when you choose to apply our films.

Q: Are you a mobile tint company?

A: No. We have a built out installation facility tailor made to get you the best possible quality.  Most clients want to keep their homes private, and certainly don’t want to have some mobile installer get hurt and try to litigate it through a client’s homeowners insurance. It’s just not a good idea, the advantage of convenience is outweighed by the potential issues. Most mobile tinters don’t facilitate warranties or last longer than a season. They pack up and go. Come to a professional company.

Q: Do you computer cut or hand cut?

A: We have both options. We default to plotter cuts, unless we feel the pattern presented for your car is substandard. That’s rare, but in the event it happens, we are expertly skilled for manual cut installations.

Q: Do you have any cheap tints available?

A: No. We have economical choices, but we have nothing that would be considered “cheap”. We’re not for everybody, we specialize in luxury grade product, with inspired performance and quality manufacturing. If there are manufacturing issues, we always replace the product expeditiously and without any run-around. And our No-Fault warranty coverage speaks for itself.

Q: Is the Lifetime Manufacturer’s Warranty transferable to another owner? What if we move to a different state?

A: Yes, most of our products have transferable warranty options, and all of our manufacturer warranties have nationwide coverage.
