Window film is a truly “green” product. Our industry has been proactively improving the environment we live in for several years. At DC Auto, one of our supplier partners even went so far as to spend over a million dollars to be independently audited relative to the carbon footprint reduced by window film.
The findings were spectacular, but not overly surprising. Most of the top manufacturers in our industry were already aware of the power of window film, but to have it backed up in writing sure doesn’t hurt.
Believe it or not, for every meter of window film created, it saves 1,001 more greenhouse gasses than it takes to create, pack, and ship to our door. That’s not a misprint. Those are the facts
In addition, there are documented studies that the application of some Nanoparticle reflector films actually improve fuel economy by at least 3%.
Window film is a great product. There are practically no downsides to having it, when you have the proper film installed. It offers comfort, medical benefits, as well as great looks. All that, and it’s excellent for the environment.
